Live Performance:Fabio Pedroli | Sofia Pozdniakova | Gabriele Tai | FORTE SANT'ANDREA
in collaboration with Microclima
x Austrian Pavilion

On May 9th 2025, Cosmogram conceived a site-specific live performance for the opening celebration of the Austrian Pavilion at the Architecture Biennale, hosted at Forte di Sant’Andrea by Microclima.

Three musicians: Fabio Pedroli (electric guitar), Sofia Pozdniakova (synthesizer and voice), and Gabriele Tai (cello) were positioned at the vertices of an equilateral triangle traced on the grass facing the fort. Each side measured roughly 40 meters: a distance that made mutual listening impossible.

To inhabit this condition, a 60-minute time-based score was developed with Sofia Pozdniakova, built from melodic and rhythmic modules allowing each performer to play autonomously, yet within a shared temporal structure. Sound unfolded without direct coordination, carried by space rather than synchrony.

As the audience crossed this invisible geometry on their way to the fort, they moved through a dispersed and acousmatic field: sound without a visible source, calibrated to remain in dialogue with wind, birds, and the surrounding landscape.

This work on distance, trust, and spatial listening lasted until the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, in a slow dissolution of light, form, and sound..
